Bar Segafredo
Interior design / furniture design

The Segafredo Bar is located in the ECE shopping center, the company founded by Werner Otto. The project occupies an open space on the upper floor. The long, oval-shaped bar structure is positioned diagonally across the floor plan and painted red and black. ECE approved the design for the complex, which houses over 50 shops; a diagonal, free-form shape on the store levels is a novelty. Around the bar are inclined umbrellas covered with textured fabric. Unlike the studioacht design, the inclined structure of the umbrellas could not be implemented. Instead, the many small umbrellas were combined into one large umbrella with a diameter of over 3 meters, constructed of steel and aluminum. The red-painted umbrella fabric features a perforated pattern. This is the first project undertaken by ECE's management that remains unchanged at its location in the Pep Center Munich after 10 years. The renovation of existing shops and restaurants follows a set cycle to ensure continuous modernization and enrich the shopping experience for visitors with contemporary and innovative design concepts. All the furniture, including the croissant display case, was designed by the studioacht team of Suzanne Faltenbacher and Daniel Kronwinkler.
