CAFE MIRABELLE
Architecture / Corporate Design / Lighting

This project involves planning the corporate identity and interior design for a bar that will serve as a meeting place for an espresso and also as a café on the gallery level of the upper floor of a mall for a good breakfast, lunch or cocktails in the evening.

Café Mirabelle is a project with specific regulatory and technical requirements at its location in the OEZ shopping center. In addition, there are content guidelines stipulated by the ECE Group to the developer for the open-plan concept of the rental space.

In the open gallery space, a café is being created, featuring wooden benches crafted from maple wood, complemented by softly shaped wooden chairs and round tables painted in shades of brown. Natural, tree-like greenery in terracotta pots over 1 meter high, as well as delicate 3.2-meter-high stelae equipped with IGuzzini spotlights, emphasize the summery character of the open space. The individual modules, each containing eight spotlights and normally intended for outdoor use, are being employed here for the high-ceilinged interior on the gallery level.

Like modern lanterns, they softly cast large round areas of light onto the floor, immersing the 12 x 12 m gallery space in the pleasant atmosphere of a garden café under trees.

Natural-colored Bisazza tiles for the round bar area, featuring a soaped maple counter and various custom-designed steel and glass display cases, combine with the logo made of colored stripes, which is painted on the wall as a reverse glass painting, reflecting the space. Warm, focused lighting on fine steel cables is individually adjustable for optimal product presentation. The partition wall to the kitchen and ancillary rooms is organically shaped and

During a tour, one can look over the chefs' shoulders through the generous glazing.
