Nachtstudio Store
Total Spatial Artwork x Corporate Design

The narrative of the label originates in Munich in 2003, driven by the objective to redefine sleep comfort and design timelessly smart, premium collections custom-crafted freshly to the client's specifications.
The unique conceptual identity developed for the flagship store within Munich’s Fünf Höfen reflects this philosophy. A rigorous, cross-disciplinary design visually dissolves the boundaries between architecture, fine art, and experiential graphics. The minimalist architectural language deliberately directs the focus onto the fine, white fabrics of the bedding collection and the custom furniture designs. Bespoke clothing rails crafted from finely brushed steel and a subtle, architectural lighting scheme play with the raw, industrial scenery.
Every artisanal detail was highly critical: to preserve the exact hue and structural authenticity of the raw construction surfaces for the concrete flooring, a specialized treatment was implemented. A proprietary formula for an ultra-matte surface sealant was meticulously overseen until the desired consistency was achieved, unifying the space into a singular monolithic sculpture.
The spatial and sculptural epicenter of the store is anchored by a floor-to-ceiling, delicate art installation composed of fine white threads. This space-defining structure of interwoven lines delivers a powerful artistic statement. The diaphanous fragility of the textile work forms a counterpoint to the raw concrete, while simultaneously generating a distinctive luminescent atmosphere. Strategically arranged into eight zoning elements throughout the space, the translucent structures create an interplay of light and shadow, casting long, graphic silhouettes across the walls and floor. This signature sculpture was subsequently rolled out as a pivotal spatial branding asset into three additional retail environments, anchoring the brand's global recognition value.
This thread-art matrix fluidly extends into the brand's Experiential Graphic Design (XGD), defining the interface where graphic communication and physical volume merge. The three-dimensional spatial experience was seamlessly transferred into corporate media: white shopping bags with black thread motifs, exhibition posters, and black business cards featuring tactile, embossed blind-stamping mirror the woven structure precisely. Architectural Scenography and Spatial Identity fuse into an unmistakable, cohesive visual entity, operating as the logical continuation of the architecture.
